About the MiVoice Business Documentation Suite

Some documents that make up the MiVoice Business Documentation Suite are shipped with the product. You can access these by using the  toolbar button in the Help browser. For the complete suite, visit the Mitel Document Center website at Document Center.

NOTE: A Mitel Online account is required to view and download technical content on Document Center. End user documents (such as telephone user guides) can be viewed and downloaded without an account.

System Documentation

• The Site Planning Guide helps you plan new MiVoice Business sites. Use the tables in this guide to collect site information, identify site requirements, determine system engineering requirements and prepare for site installation.

• The Engineering Guidelines highlight specific areas of the product that you must consider before installation. Use them to plan site installations.

• The Migration Guidelines document provides guidelines for migrating your MiVoice Business system to MiVoice Business Release 9.0.

• The EX Controller Installation and Administration Guide document provides instructions for installing the EX controller.

• The Technician's Handbook provides installation, upgrade, maintenance and troubleshooting instructions.

• The Hardware Technical Reference Manual provides hardware specifications. All installation, upgrade, maintenance and troubleshooting instructions are moved to the Technician's Handbook.

• The Resiliency Guidelines is a comprehensive overview of the Mitel® Resiliency solution and provides customers the tools to understand, plan, and implement a resilient network.

• The Clustering Design and Implementation Guide provides design considerations and configuration guidelines for networking MiVoice Business systems with emphasis on setting up a cluster.

• The System Administration Tool Help (this Help) is the primary source of information on configuring and maintaining the MiVoice Business software.

• The MiVoice Business Migration Tool Help provides detailed procedures on using the MiVoice Business Migration Tool to upgrade to MiVoice Business Release 9.0.

• The Mitel Integrated Configuration Wizard Help provides instructions on using the wizard to do the initial system setup and user commissioning of a MiVoice Business system and select MiCollab applications.

• The Troubleshooting Guide lists problem symptoms, possible causes, and corrective actions for MiVoice Business installation and configuration issues.

• The Migration Guidelines document provides the guidelines for migration your MiVoice Business system to MiVoice Business Release 9.0.

• As well as the voice mail documentation embedded in this help system, the following for additional information about voice mail services of MiVoice Business is available:

• The Voice Mail User Guide provides detailed instructions for users on setting up and using their mailbox.

• The Voice Mail Quick Reference Guide provides an overview of the functions available for users.

• The Wallet Card provides a quick reference to voice mail menus and frequently performed tasks.

• The Guest Messaging Services Guide (Hotel/Motel Installations) is provided to guest to instruct them in the use of the voice mail system.

• The Front Desk User Guide (Hotel/Motel Installations) provides front desk staff with instructions on how to administer guest mailboxes.

• Printed versions of the Wallet Card and Guest Messaging Services Guide can be ordered by contacting Mitel Customer Service.

• The Desktop Tool and the Group Administration Tool provide all user instructions on-screen; as a result, no additional documentation or help is required for these tools.

• The Attendant Console User Guides and guides to using Voice Mail, ACD, and Sub-Attendant features are available from the User Guide section of the documentation website.

Peripherals, Sets, and Ancillaries

• All User Guides are also available in PDF format on the Mitel documentation website.

• Installation guides for Mitel peripheral devices, sets, and other ancillaries, such the IP Paging Unit, are accessed from the Installation Guides hot spot at the top of the Document Center webpage.

• The 3300 CITELlink Gateway documentation consists of the following:

• The 3300 CITELlink Gateway Start Here Guide identifies the documentation that you need, provides important safety instructions, and details regulatory approvals.

• The 3300 CITELlink Gateway Phone User Guides identify the functions of the keys on the Norstar and Meridian phones and provide feature operation instructions.

• The 3300 CITELlink Gateway Installation and Configuration Guide provides instructions on how to install and configure the gateway.

• The IP-DECT Wireless Solution documentation consists of the following:
